Request Procedure-related Information

Application

Switching from other ISP

IPv6 service allows one subscription (contract) per one fiber-optic line.
If you are using other ISP's IPv6 service, you cannot use Asahi Net's IPv6 Connection Feature.
Please apply for the IPv6 Connection Feature after canceling the IPv6 service provided by other ISP.

If you are informed that your application procedure could not be completed

If your application for start using the IPv6 Connection Feature could not be processed, Asahi Net will inform you by email.
Please check the details of the email and take the necessary steps.
There are the following three main reasons why the application cannot be completed.

You are using the IPv6 connection service provided by other ISP
  • IPv6 service allows one subscription (contract) per one fiber-optic line.
  • You are asked to take the steps to start using the IPv6 Connection Feature again after you cancel the currently using IPv6 connection service provided by other ISP.
Disagreement of fiber-optic line information
  • Information of the fiber-optic line subscriber is required to complete the application to start using the service.
  • If the given fiber-optic line ID and the subscriber name/subscriber phone number at application is different from the information registered to Asahi Net, your application procedure cannot be processed.
  • Please check if the information is correct, and take the steps to start using the IPv6 Connection Feature again.
Fiber-optic request procedure is in process
  • While a certain request procedure is in process, you are not able to take the steps to start using the IPv6 Connection Feature.
  • If you are waiting for your fiber-optic line to open, moving, or changing the subscriber, you are asked to take the steps to start using the IPv6 Connection Feature again.

Contract change

This section gives you information on procedures to take for the IPv6 Connection Feature in accordance with contract change, etc. of connection services.

Change the course of applicable connection service

If you change the course of your subscription service to a course which supports the IPv6 Connection Feature, you can continue using the feature.
However, if there is a change in the fiber-optic line ID, you are asked to take the necessary procedure. If you are changing to a service which do not support the IPv6 Connection Feature, the service will be canceled automatically after you complete the cancellation procedure.

Change in the fiber-optic line ID

If the fiber-optic line ID is changed due to moving, etc., you are asked to take the steps to using the IPv6 Connection Feature again with the new fiber-optic line ID and subscriber information.
If you are subscribed to either of the following connections services, please take the change procedure for your line ID in use in My Page.

  • FLET’S Hikari Next (Family, Mansion)
  • FLET’S Hikari Light (Family)
  • FLET’S Hikari Cross Course

Deactivation (Cancellation)

This section gives you information on how to deactivate (cancel) the IPv6 Connection Feature.

  • Since IPv6 Connection Feature (IPoE) is offerd as an accessory feature of connection services, you cannot deactivate just the IPv6 Connection (IPoE) while subscribing to an applicable connection service.
If you are canceling the applicable connection service due to switching of ISPs, etc., you are asked to deactivate the feature.
  • For the additional IPv4 over IPv6 Connection (DS-Lite), you can activate/deactivate according to your use.
  • After deactivating the IPv4 over IPv6 Connection (DS-Lite), setup for IPv4 connection (PPPoE) is required.
