Service Overview
IMAP function allows users to connect to the mail server of Asahi Net Mail Services through IMAP over SSL/TLS (IMAPS).

The email storage period will be changed from the normal 180 days to unlimited period.
- *The size of the mailbox is 5GB.

Gives users convenience by enabling them to manage and store incoming mail on the mail server, allowing them to check inbox from multiple devices.

Asahi Net members could use the service for free.
Steps to Start Using

STEP1
Application
Apply for IMAP function via My Page.
After your application is processed, you can use the IMAP function.- *An application is required for each mailbox. Please take the procedure for each mailbox with the corresponding ID.
- *Application can be made only in Japanese.

STEP2
Setup
Perform the necessary settings in your mailer.
Refer to Asahi Net's Settings Guide for details on how to set up. -
STEP3
Start using
Precautions
- The service is an optional service for applicable internet connection services, and it cannot be applied for by itself.
- If the mailbox space exceeds the 5 GB limit, you will not be able to receive new email.
To receive new email, members have to delete their unnecessary email. - If you stop the use of IMAP feature, the service will be stopped after 30 days from your application.
After stopping the function, the storage period of your email will be changed from unlimited period to 180 days.
