Application-related Information
Application request procedure may differ depending on the SIM function you wish to use. Please choose either Data SIM or Voice SIM.
MNP transfer
This section gives you information on MNP transfer which allows you to keep the currently using phone number provided by other company.
If you wish to apply using MNP transfer, please prepare the following before making your application.
- 1.MNP reservation number
- 2.Expiry period of MNP reservation number *
- 3.MNP phone number
- *If you are applying for ANSIM, the expiration period has to be more than 10 days.
See the following page for how to obtain your MNP reservation number from the respective mobile phone company.
- *If you wish to use MNP transfer, all the following information should be identical: subscriber information registered to mobile phone company you are currently using; information registered with Asahi Net; information indicated in your identity verification document.
Identity verification
If you wish to apply for a Voice SIM, you are asked to submit your identity verification document based on Japanese laws and regulations. Application requests which require an identity verification are as follows:
- If you are applying for Asahi Net LTE ANSIM (Voice SIM)
- If you are changing from an ANSIM Data SIM which you are currently using to an ANSIM Voice SIM
Please note that if your identity verification cannot be completed, the above application requests will be canceled.

Services to filter content harmful to young people
Users under age 18
Users under age 18 are required to use a filtering service in order to protect them from online issues unless requested by their parental guardian.
A filtering service can prevent those users from browsing illegal and/or harmful websites.
If parental guardians wish to use a filtering service for their minors, please note that Asahi Net does not offer such a service and they are required to find one which suits their needs.
Sharing a device with minors under age 18
If parental guardians wish to share a device such as smartphones with minors in the same household, the use of filtering service is recommended.
Please turn the filtering service ON when minors are using the device. To prevent minors from getting involved in any conflicts or issues, Asahi Net asks parental guardians to grasp and check how the internet is being used.
