What is registration of authentication information?

It is a request procedure to register your password to Asahi Net’s authentication system.
This request procedure is required for IDs which are issued before 2004* and have not yet registered their authentication information.
There is no additional charge for registering your authentication information.

• *Some IDs issued after 2004 are also included.

If your authentication information is not registered, you will not be able to use the following.

• CHAP authentication for connection setup
• SMTP authentication for sending email*

• *Please note that Asahi Net’s email service uses SMTP authentication.

Change in how to log into My Page

The login method of My Page will change around September 2024.
If you have not registered your authentication information by then, you will not be able to log into My Page after the login method changes.
Please register your authentication information before the login method changes.

Steps to make a request

1. 1Log into the request page using your ID and password which you want to register your authentication information and check your registration status.
   • *If you see “Already registered”, there is no need to do anything.

   

2. 2Check the ID shown under Registration ID and enter again the password which you logged into the request page.
3. 3Click the Register button to complete your registration.
   Your authentication information will be registered when your request is completed.
