Service Overview
Email Virus Check is an optional service which detects and remove any viruses found in Asahi Net mailbox. You don't need to change the operating method of your mailer or settings, but the mail server will detect and remove any virus when you send your email.

How your usage charge for Email Virus Check is calculated: The total number of mailboxes with Email Virus Check subscription is multiplied by the 220-yen monthly charge. For example, if you are using two mailboxes with Email Virus Check, the monthly charge for the service is doubled and the total becomes 440 yen (i.e., 220 yen × 2 = 440 yen).
Also, please note that the month which includes the cancellation date will incur a prescribed monthly charge.
Precautions
- This optional service can only be used as an additional to internet connection services. You cannot apply for this optional service by itself.
- This service does not guarantee perfect detection / extermination of all virus infected email.
- This service will detect and exterminate virus that have been designed to infect Windows and DOS operating systems, and detect and exterminate macroviruses designed to affect applications running in Windows and Macintosh operating systems. The service will not detect and exterminate viruses for the Macintosh system, other than macroviruses.
- Asahi Net will bear no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by a user of the Email Virus Check Service or third parties.
