Apology and Information Regarding the Error of Web Mail Folders(Update as of September 11, 2023)

Thank you for using Asahi Net.
An error has been found in the mail folder of Web Mail (a mail service provided by Asahi Net) among some Asahi Net members.
We apologize to those who are affected for the inconvenience we have caused.
This announcement gives information on the issue and the schedule for handling it.

There is a change in the announcement made on August 28, 2023.
“4. Schedule for Handling the Issue” has been updated.
1. Affected Members
Those who have the following folders in English language text showing on their Web Mail (as shown in the following image)
- Draft
- Junk
- Sent
- Trash
Asahi Net has sent an email informing this issue to those who have this error in their mailboxes.
2. Error Details
Some mail folders are not working correctly due to wrong folder configuration of Web Mail.
There is no error for sending and receiving email.
3. Cause
This is caused by a system error occurred during the transfer of Web Mail*, which failed to correctly create Web Mail folders for some members.
- *Web Mail was transferred from the old mail system to the current one in the renewal of Asahi Net mail system implemented on August 10, 2022.

4. Schedule for Handling the Issue
Asahi Net will fix the Web Mail folder configuration.
Timing to fix (update as of September 11, 2023)
October 3, 2023
Please note that the following events may occur if you use the Mail Service when Asahi Net is fixing this issue.
- If you are using the Web Mail
You may be prompted to log into Web Mail again. Please log in again to use the Web Mail. - If you are connected with POP/IMAP
The connection of POP/IMAP may be disconnected. Please reconnect to use the feature.
You will also be informed of when the issue is going to be fixed on the Maintenance/Outages page.
What will be fixed
- The folder names in English language text will be fixed to Japanese (as the original).
- Folders themselves will be fixed to work just as specified in the specification.
With this fix, names and order of folders shown in Japanese language text will be changed.
- *There will be no change in folders which are created by members themselves.
The folder configuration after the fix will be as shown below.
