Information on the New Email Sender Guidelines of Google and US Yahoo

This announcement is to give you information on the new email guidelines announced by Google and US Yahoo in October 2023.

1. Overview
New email sender guidelines for Google Gmail*1 and US Yahoo Mail*2 have been released. The new guidelines affect those who send a large volume of emails to addresses provided by these two services.
Mail Service provided by Asahi Net complies with these guidelines, and therefore the change does not affect those who use the Asahi Net Mail Service.
However, if you are not using the service with the recommended settings or if you send a large volume of emails in a short period of time, your usage may be restricted.
- *1Email address provided by Google Workspace is not affected by the new guidelines (as of February 2024).
- *2Email service provided by US Yahoo is affected by the new guidelines.
2. Settings to be Checked
If you are using the following service, please check the settings.
Form Decode
If the code includes either (or both) of the following, your email may be determined as spam email or may be blocked.
- Sender address (_From) has an email address other than asahi-net.or.jp
- Receiving address in the details (_to) has a Gmail or US Yahoo Mail address
