SSID (Network name)

SSID (Service Set Identifier) is the name that uniquely identifies each wireless LAN network. Each wireless device (wireless LAN access point, wireless router) has its own SSID.
For some networks the entry of a password called a network key (encryption key) is needed when attempting to connect to the network.
The SSID and network keys required for connection to the wireless LAN services offered by Asahi Net are listed below.

  • Written on the wireless LAN initial settings sticker as SSID.
  • Or, after turning on the HWD14, use the touch panel and select SSID Information from the Quick Menu and look for the name entry for SSID1.
  • Written on the wireless LAN initial settings sticker as WPA Key.
  • Or, after turning on the HWD14, use the touch panel and select SSID Information from the Quick Menu and look for the password entry for SSID1.
