• *Data-only SIMs (without SMS) are not eligible. Also, data communication functionality for Voice SIM as well as Data Sim (with SMS) are unavailable.

3. Service overview

JAPAN Roaming™ is a feature designed to secure communication methods during emergencies, such as natural disasters or network outages. You will be able to use voice calls and send SMS messages (including emergency calls) by using other telecommunications carriers’ networks in cases where Asahi Net’s communication network is unavailable.

Depending on the situation, the service will be applied in one of two modes:
- Allowing emergency calls only.
- Allowing both general calls and SMS, in addition to emergency calls.

When this service is applied, please visit the respective telecommunications carrier’s website for detailed information regarding coverage areas, network restoration status, and the service availability period.
