Notice of Enhancement of Anti-Spam Measures
Asahi Net, Inc.
Thank you for using Asahi Net.
In response to the recent increase in spam and phishing emails, Asahi Net is enhancing our anti-spam measures to ensure you can use our Mail Service safely.
The specifications for receiving emails will be changed. The deliverability of an email will now be determined by checking if the sender’s IP address has a registered DNS record (domain name).
See the following for more details.
1. Details
The sender's IP address will be checked if it has a registered DNS record (domain name).
- If registered: The email will be delivered as usual.
- If not registered: The email will not be delivered and an error will be sent to the sender.
2. Date of implementation
September 18, 2025
- *Emails delivered before September 18 will not be affected.
3. How members are affected
- This specification change is expected to reduce the number of spam and phishing emails delivered.
- *It does not block all spam and phishing emails.
- For major email services provided by their respective companies, the sender’s IP address has a registered DNS record.
After September 18: If you cannot receive an email which you used to receive before (and an error is returned to the sender), the applicable sender's IP address may not have a registered DNS record.
Please ask the sender if its IP address has a registered DNS record. If not, please request the sender to have a DNS record registered.
We apologize for the inconvenience it may cause you, and thank you for your cooperation.
