ASAHI Net LTE

ASAHI Net LTE is a high-speed data communication service designed for smartphone users and aimed at providing a low-cost alternative to other data communication services.

With the ASAHI Net LTE service you will receive a rental SIM card and will simply use that SIM card in place of the SIM card you currently use in your smartphone or mobile router.

It is possible to make calls over the Internet using services like Skype, LINE, 050plus, Kakao. It isn't possible to use the service for voice communication on mobile (cellular) telephone networks.

Service Area

The service area is the same as that provided with NTT DoCoMo's Xi and FOMA services and so is said to be available to 100% of Japan.

What You Need To Supply

Only a rental SIM card is provided with this service. You will need to supply the following.

• Your own LTE (Xi) compatible device (smartphone, tablet, mobile router, etc), or SIM Free mobile device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).

  If you intend to insert the SIM card into a 3G (FOMA) capable device please click here.
