Checking the Outgoing mail server - Outlook Express 6


  • This guide is based on Windows Microsoft Outlook Express 6.x.
  • This guide is to help you determine whether or not you are using a non-Asahi Net Outoing mail server.

1. Open Outlook Express.

2. Click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.

3. Click on the Mail tab.

4. Highlight the account you have for Asahi Net, probably called "pop.asahi-net.or.jp" and then click the Properties button.

5. Click the Servers tab.

If you are using Asahi Net's outgoing mail server, then the character string in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box will end with asahi-net.or.jp.

If the character string in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) box does not end with asahi-net.or.jp, then you are using a non-Asahi Net Outoing mail server.

If you are already using Asahi Net's Outgoing mail server there is no change of settings necessary. Please leave your settings as they are.
