Checking the Outgoing mail server - Mail for MacOSX (10.4)
- This guide is based on Mail for MacOSX (10.4).
- This guide is to help you determine whether or not you are using a non-Asahi Net Outoing mail server.
1. Open Mail.
2. From the Mail menu, choose Preferences.
3. In Accounts, choose your account from the Accounts section and then click on the Account Information tab. The Outgoing mail server will be listed in the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) section.
4. Click on the Server Settings button.
5. The Outgoing Mail Server section contains the name of the Outgoing mail server being used.
If you are using Asahi Net's outgoing mail server, then the character string in the Outgoing Mail Server box will end with asahi-net.or.jp.

If the character string in the Outgoing Mail Server box does not end with asahi-net.or.jp, then you are using a non-Asahi Net Outoing mail server.
If you are already using Asahi Net's Outgoing mail server there is no change of settings necessary. Please leave your settings as they are.
How to use Asahi Net's Outgoing mail server
If you are using a non-Asahi Net Outoing mail server and think there is a need to change your Mac Mail settings, please refer to the Outbound Port 25 Blocking - Are You Affected? section on the following page for further information.
If you are already using Asahi Net's Outgoing mail server there is no change of settings necessary. Please leave your settings as they are.
