(Reminder) Notice on Change of Dial-up Course K Plans and Closing of Prime Access Point

Thank you for using Asahi Net.

With the end of service of the access point provider, the offering details of Asahi Net’s Dial-up Course K1 Plan will be renewed, and Dial-up Course K5, K8, and K15 Plan will end services as of September 30, 2020.
We thank you for your interest in the service and those members who have been using the service.

The actual service closing date is approaching, and this is a kind reminder regarding the details on closing services and the associated procedures. Below is the notice made on June 1, 2020.

1. Service Closing Date

September 30, 2020

  • Dial-up Course K5 Plan
  • Dial-up Course K8 Plan
  • Dial-up Course K15 Plan

3. Procedures Accompanied by the End of Service

Members who are using K5, K8, or K15 Plan

If you wish to continue using Asahi Net, you will need to change courses.

In order to continue using dial-up connection, please change to one of the services listed below. For both services: Charges for connecting to Access Point will be billed separately from the service provider you are in contract.

  • Dial-up Course S Plan

    It provides unlimited dial-up connection at 1,950 yen monthly.
    You can check service details and make change requests from the following page.

  • The Renewed Dial-up K1 Course (Recommended)

    It provides dial-up connection with basic hours of 15 hours, at 300 yen monthly.

    This renewed course will start its service from October 1. However, if you change courses to the current Dial-up Course K1 Plan now, the renewed service will be provided automatically from the service opening date.

If you are using K5, K8, or K15 Course as of the date of service closing, Asahi Net will process cancellation.

Please note that your membership will be cancelled as well if you are not using other Asahi Net services.

Members who are using the current K1 Plan

If you are using the current K1 Plan as of the service closing date, Asahi Net will continue providing dial-up with Dial-up K1 Course starting from October 1, 2020.

Important
When the renewed Dial-up K1 Course starts its service, Asahi Net will send you the Notification Regarding the Contract Details. Please check the details when you receive this document.

In this renewed Dial-up K1 Course, charges for connecting to Access Point will be separately billed from the service provider you are in contract. Please refer to the page below for other service details.

If you wish to cancel the Dial-up Course K1 Plan, you need to request for a cancellation process separately.
There are many Asahi Net members who are using the current Dial-up Course K1 Plan for the use of Asahi Net Mail Service etc. and not for dial-up connection purposes.
Please check your contract status before continuing to the next procedure.
