Revision to Asahi Net WiMAX 2+ Traffic Volume Regulation Policy

Thank you for using Asahi Net.

Starting from February 2nd ,2017*1, we expand the maximum 3-day accumulated data volume*2 on Asahi Net WiMAX 2+ for our traffic regulation to be applied.

1. Details of Revision

The maximum flow speed under regulation The level available to watch YouTube video with standard image quality*3 Approx. 1Mbps*4
Duration of regulation Lasting approximately one day, starting from around noon on a day after the data exceeding day After the 10GB limit is exceeded in the most recent 3-day period*5 , during the most congested times on the following day approximately from 6:00pm until 2:00am

2. Effective Date

As of February 2nd 2017

3. Note

  • This revision will take effect on February 2nd 2017, if WiMAX 2+ or LTE usages of the preceding three days starting from January 30th through February 1st 2017 exceed the accumulated volume of 10 GB
  • Current scope of regulation is applied to the preceding three-day accumulation of LTE usage exceeding 3GB.
  • As a part of provisional measure established on July 15th 2015, we have raised the under-regulation speed to the HD YouTube viewable level.
  • Indicating the maximum up/download speed. Actual user’s speed may slow down to less than 1Mbps depending on surrounding environment.
  • For any connection made before 2:00am and onwards, the speed restriction may continue after 2:00am until 6:00am at the latest. In such cases, disconnecting from the current connection sess ion will end the speed restriction.
