Outlook 2013

Create an account

1. 1.Open Outlook 2013.
2. 2.Click File.
3. 3.Click Info.
4. 4.Click Add Account.
5. 5.In the Auto Account Setup window, choose Manual setup or additional server types.
6. 6.Click Next.
7. 7.In the Add Account window, choose POP or IMAP.
8. 8.Click Next.
9. 9.In the Add Account window, supply the following information.

   Your Name	Your Name Eg. Taro ASAHI
   Email Address	Your Asahi Net email address Eg. myasahinetemailaddress@asahinet.jp
   Account Type	POP3
   Incoming Mail Server	pop.asahi-net.or.jp
   Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)	mail.asahi-net.or.jp
   	mails.asahi-net.or.jp *If your service includes Email Virus Check
   User Name	Your Asahi Net User ID Eg. ab4t-ash
   Password	Your Asahi Net Password
   Remember Password	This setting is at your discretion.
   Require Logon using Secure Password Authentication	Leave unchecked

10. 10.Click the More Settings button.
11. 11.Click the Outgoing Server tab.
12. 12.Check the My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication box.
13. 13.Select the Use the same settings as my incoming mail server radio button.
14. 14.Click the Advanced tab, supply the following information.

    Incoming Server (POP Port)	995
    Use the following type of encrypted connection	Select SSL in the pulldown menu.

    Outgoing server (SMTP Port)	465
    Use the following type of encrypted connection	Select SSL in the pulldown menu.

15. 15.Other settings are at your discretion. Click the OK button.
16. 16.Click Next.
17. 17.Click Finish.
