iOS 11 Check Settings

  • This page provides instruction to check settings for iPad (iOS 11.0.)
  • The items referred to with [ ] marks in the instruction are items unique to each customer.
    In actual settings, please replace them with your own information.
  • In the following instruction, an example ID of [ab4t-ash] is shown for Asahi Net ID.

Check Account Settings

Open Settings

Choose Settings in the Home screen.

Choose the Account you want to check, in Accounts & Passwords.

Check POP ACCOUNT INFORMATION and INCOMING MAIL SERVER settings.

Email [Your email address] (e.g. asahitaro@asahinet.jp)
Description Arbitrary  
INCOMING MAIL SERVER
Host Name pop.asahi-net.or.jp  
User Name [Your Asahi Net User ID] (e.g. ab4t-ash)
Password [Password for your Asahi Net User ID] Input in lowercase

Check settings appear the same as above, and then tap SMTP.

Choose mail.asahi-net.or.jp under OTHER SMTP SERVERS.

Tap Authentication in the property window for mail.asahi-net.or.jp.

Confirm that a check mark appears on the right side of MD5 Challenge-Response.
Then tap mail.asahi-net.or.jp at the top left to go back to the property window of mail.asahi-net.or.jp.

Check settings appear the same as above, and then tap the account (e.g. Asahinet) at the top left to go back to the property window.

Go back to the property window, then tap Done at the top right to close the window.

Settings are completed.
