Mac OSX 10.5 Network Configuration


I. Configuration

1. From the Apple menu (top left of screen) choose System Preferences.

2. Find and double-click on the Network icon in the Internet & Network section.

3. Choose Automatic in the Location box.

4. In the left-hand panel, choose Ethernet.

5. Choose Using DHCP in the Configure box.

6. Click the Advanced button.

7. Click the DNS tab. Leave the DNS Servers column empty.
* If you are using a router, and its IP address is specified here, e.g. 192.168.100.1, it is okay to leave it as it is.

8. Click the OK button. This will return you to the Location page.

9. Click the Apply button.
