Asahi Mobile WiMAX
  • Asahi Mobile WiMAX service will be cancelled effective as of the end of the month including the service opening date* of Asahi Net WiMAX 2+ service and Asahi Mobile WiMAX service can no longer be used beginning from the following month.
  • Service opening date is either the date on which the data communication device purchased from Asahi Net is used to make the first internet connection or the 10th day after the date the data communication device is shipped, whichever is earlier.
Asahi Net WiMAX 2+
  • Please note that due to increased orders, it may take maximum two weeks for the delivery of the device. Thank you for your understanding.
Fixed IP Address
  • The same Fixed IP address you are using with your current Asahi Mobile WiMAX service cannot be used. Your understanding is appreciated.
Additional Equipment Service
  • The Additional Equipment service we offer to Asahi Mobile WiMAX service is not available for the Asahi Net WiMAX 2+ service.

Asahi Net WiMAX 2+

WiMAX / WiMAX 2+ communication speeds
  • The communication speeds displayed above are of the maximum speed based on technical standards. The communication speeds will change depending on Internet congestion or communication environment. Even in an Asahi Net WiMAX 2+ service area, it is possible for there to be areas where speeds can only reach a maximum of 10Mbps.
  • In and around the WiMAX 2+ area, there is a possibility that we may cut the connections of customers who have continuously connected for more than 24 hours for the maintenance of quality and protection of equipment. For more details, please refer to the UQ Communications Inc. Inc.’s webpage (in Japanese only).
au 4G LTE Communication Speed
  • The approximate maximum communication speeds listed are the maximum according to technical standards, and in some areas the maximum download speed will be 37.5 Mbps or less and the maximum upload speed will be 12.5Mbps or less.
  • Even within the service areas, it is possible for communication speeds to decrease significantly due to your communication environment, network congestion, etc.
Charges
  • Separately, a Universal Service Charge is required.
  • In the month of cancellation, a full monthly charge ( 4,850 yen (tax-excluded) for Unlimited Data with LTE Plan, 4,196 yen (tax-excluded) for Fixed Data with LTE Plan), universal service charge and cancellation charge (for cancellation requested in a month other than the contract renewal period) will be billed. In addition, if the service is cancelled in the service opening month*, an initial setup charge and charge equivalent for the price of data communication device (20,000 yen) will be billed.
  • Service opening month is either the month that includes the date on which the data communication device purchased from Asahi Net is used to make the first internet connection or the month that includes the 10th day after the date the data communication device is shipped, whichever is earlier.
Discount on Monthly Charges with Upgrade Benefits
  • Members applying for the upgrade to Asahi Net WiMAX 2+ will be eligible for a discount of 680 yen (tax-excluded) on Unlimited Data with LTE Plan monthly charges.
  • For Unlimited Data with LTE Plan, the applicable discount period will be 36 months starting from the month following the service opening month* of Asahi Net WiMAX 2+.
    (e.g.) If the service opening month is October 2018, the discount will be applied until the monthly charge for October 2021.
  • Members applying for an upgrade to Fixed Data with LTE Plan are not eligible for this discount.
  • Service opening month is either the month that includes the date on which the data communication device purchased from Asahi Net is used to make the first internet connection or the month that includes the 10th day after the date the data communication device is shipped, whichever is earlier.

Contract Period/Cancellation

  • The contract period for the Unlimited Data with LTE Plan and the Fixed Data with LTE Plan is 3 years (37 months), with the month following the service opening month (*1) constituting the first month. If cancellation of the contract is not requested in the contract renewal period (*2), the contract will be renewed automatically for another 3 years.
  • If the contract is canceled during the contract period excluding the contract renewal period, a cancellation charge will be billed separately. (With the month following the service opening month constituting the first month, if the cancellation is requested before the end of the 12th month, a 19,000 yen (tax-excluded) cancellation charge will be billed; if the cancellation is requested between the 13th month and 24th month, a 14,000 yen (tax-excluded) cancellation charge will be billed; if the cancellation is requested in the 25th month and after a 9,500 yen (tax-excluded) cancellation charge will be billed. No cancellation charge will be billed for cancellation requested during the contract renewal period.)

  • The service opening month is either the month that includes the date on which the data communication device purchased from Asahi Net is used to make the first Internet connection or the month that includes the 10th day after the date the data communication device is shipped, whichever is earlier.
  • The contract renewal period is the month in which contract can be cancelled without cancellation charge.
    For Unlimited Data with LTE Plan and Fixed Data with LTE Plan
    The initial contract renewal period is the 37th month with the month following the service opening month constituting the first month, and beginning with the third year and after, the contract renewal period is the 37th month with the preceding contract renewal period constituting the first month.
Cancellation
  • In the month of cancellation, a full monthly charge, universal service charge and cancellation charge (for cancellation requested in a month other than the contract renewal period) will be billed. In addition, if the service is cancelled in the service opening month, an initial setup charge and charge equivalent for the price of data communication device (20,000 yen) will be billed.

Traffic Volume Regulation

  • Users of the Unlimited Data with LTE Plan will have no monthly data traffic limit or communication speed restriction (when monthly data traffic exceeds 7 GB.) However, when restriction on communication speed is applied for High-Speed Plus Area Mode (applied when monthly data traffic in this mode exceeds 7 GB), communication speed will be restricted for both High-Speed Plus Area Mode and WiMAX 2+ High-Speed Mode.
  • Users of the Fixed Data with LTE Plan whose total amount of data traffic in the WiMAX 2+ High-Speed Mode and High-Speed Plus Area Mode exceeds 7 GB in a month will have the maximum communication speed restricted to 128kbps until the end of that month.
  • In order to address network congestion issues, should data traffic usage exceed 10GB in the most recent 3-day period on the WiMAX 2+ and au 4G LTE connection modes, a communication speed restriction will be in effect for both connection modes on the following day, approximately from 6:00pm until 2:00 am of the following day.
  • For any connection made before 2:00am and onwards, the speed restriction may continue after 2:00am until 6:00am at the latest. In such cases, disconnecting from the current connection session will end the speed restriction.
