Asahi Mobile WiMAX
Asahi Mobile WiMAX is a high-speed mobile service. If you use a mobile Wi-Fi router like the URoad-SS10 (shown above) you can easily carry it around with you when outside and also use it inside your home. The Wi-Fi router will automatically connect to the closest available WiMAX antenna. The maximum possible download speed is 40Mbps. The service currently covers 94% of Japan including 99% of Japan's 12 major cities, in other words you can use it just about wherever you go.
WiMAX is short for Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access.
