Closure of the HPO email service 6th December 2017

Between September 2007 and September 2008, as a result of the closure of the Hunter Point Online (HPO) Internet connection service, many HPO users switched to Asahi Net. The HPO email service remained in operation for those users who joined Asahi Net, and although many chose to use Asahi Net email instead of HPO email, a small number of users continued to use HPO email. However, due to the lack of resources required to keep the HPO email service in operation, the HPO email service including the HPO Web Mail service will regrettably close effective 6th December 2017.

Closing date of HPO email service: 6th December 2017.

Should you be using the HPO email service, we urge you to switch to another email service and inform your contacts of your new email address before 6th December 2017. Should you be an Asahi Net member we suggest you register for an Asahi Net MyMail email address, if you have not already done so, and use that email address instead of the HPO email address you have been using. Your Asahi Net internet connection will not be affected by the closure of the HPO email service.
