Asahi Net, Inc. is charging users of the services listed below a "Universal Service Fee". The per-telephone number Universal Service Fee has been revised, as stipulated by the "Universal Service System", in accordance with the Telecommunications Business Law.

We would like to ask for your continued understanding and cooperation with the Universal Service System.

1. Universal Service Fee

The "Universal Service System" is a system that requires telephone companies to appropriately bear part of the cost necessary for ensuring the provision of the Universal Service operated by NTT East and NTT West. The "Universal Service" makes it possible for essential services such as subscriber telephone lines, public phones and emergency phone services to be made fairly and stably available throughout Japan, in accordance with the Telecommunications Business Law.

3. Billing

The Universal Service Fee will be billed together with Asahi Net's service charges. The revised Universal Service Fee will be effective from the July 2017 usage charge (billed in August).
