2nd December 2009 : Change to Fixed IP Address service for users of FLET'S Hikari Premium linesUsers of NTT West's FLET'S Hikari Premium service should read this page. BackgroundThose members using a NTT West FLET'S Hikari Premium line have a fixed IP address assigned by ASAHI Net to their ASAHI Net Internet connection on that FLET'S Hikari Premium line. Effective 1st February 2010 ASAHI Net will no longer assign a fixed IP address to Internet connections made on a FLET'S Hikari Premium line, a dynamic IP address will be assigned unless the member applies for our Fixed IP Address Option. After the 1st February 2010 change to the service, there is no need for current ASAHI Net members to make a change to Internet connection settings; members will be able to connect to the Internet service as they do now. Should members need to keep the fixed IP address currently assigned to their Internet connection on the FLET'S Hikari Premium line, for example because they need it for their home server or for VPN, they must apply for our Fixed IP Address Option before 1st February 2010; please see below for how to do so.
