FLET'S Connection Tool Configuration
(Japanese-language Windows95, 98, ME, and 2000 only.)
For connection to NTT's FLET'S ADSL, FLET'S ADSL Entry, and B FLET'S services.
I. Before making the configuration, ensure that...
1. You are contracted with NTT to use their FLET'S service.
2. You are an ASAHI Net member.

3. You are using the correct ASAHI Net Course.
4. You are prepared for connection.
If your computer's operating system is Japanese Windows 95, 98, ME, or 2000, install NTT's FLET'S Connection Tool software following the instructions provided by NTT and then continue to read below about how to configure the installed software for connection. If you have an English-language Windows computer, you should not install NTT's FLET'S Connection Tool software.
On the day NTT open their service, connect up all equipment provided as instructed by NTT.
II. Configuration.
Set up your connection
Notes:
1. If you have an English-language Windows computer, you should not install NTT's FLET'S Connection Tool software.
2. Japanese-language names (menu options, button names, etc) have been written in an English-language equivalent below.
1. From the Windows Start button select Program then open the FLET's Connection Tool program.
Double-click on the Make new profile icon.
2. You are asked to enter an easy-to-understand name in the white box, e.g. ASAHI Net.
This will be the name of the icon you will use to get connected to the Internet.
Click the Next button.
3. In the Please enter your User Name box, enter your ASAHI Net User ID followed by "@atson.net".
For example, if your ASAHI Net User ID is ab3c-defg, your User name would be ab3c-defg@atson.net.
In the Please enter your Password box, enter your ASAHI Net password.
In the Please re-enter your Password box, enter your ASAHI Net password.
Click the Next button.
4. Click the Finish button.
5. Right-click on your newly created profile and choose the Properties option.
6. Make sure you have correctly entered your User Name and Password. If you wish, click the checkbox for Remember Password.
7. Click on the TCP tab.
The Obtain IP address automatically radio button must be checked.
The Specify DNS/NBNS address radio button must be checked.
In the Primary DNS box enter: 202.224.32.1
In the Secondary DNS box enter: 202.224.32.2
8. Click on the Settings tab.
Make sure that the LAN card that you are using is listed in the Adapter box.
Click the OK button.
9. Double-click on the icon of the profile you have created.
Make sure your User Name and Password are still in their boxes, and then click the Connect button.
A connection should be established between your computer and the Internet.
10. Open your Web browser, and start viewing Web pages.
