WD701CV ADSL modem configuration.
I. Before making the configuration, ensure that...
1. Have you received notification of the opening date of this service?
You should have received notification by email, sent to the email address you supplied when completing your application for the ADSL service, of the date on which the ADSL service will be opened on your line. If you attempt this configuration before the ADSL service has been opened, you will not be able to connect to the ADSL service.
2. Have you received your ADSL connection ID?
To connect to this ADSL service, you need to use a special connection ID which will be sent to you by post. Your ASAHI Net User ID and password will not be used for connection to the ADSL service. The connection ID takes the form of "E-EA###X###@atson.net". There is no password for connection to the ADSL eAccess service.
3. Prepare for connection.
There is no software to be installed as part of this configuration. Connect the ADSL modem to your computer's LAN card with a length of "straight" Ethernet cable (supplied with the ADSL modem). Connect a length of modular telephone cable between your wall jack and the ADSL modem.
