Web Caster V100 configuration. I. Before making the configuration, ensure that...
1. You have entered into a FLET'S contract with NTT and have received their Web Caster V100.
Example setup: FLET'S ADSL modem and Webcaster V100
Example setup: B FLET'S media converter and Web Caster V100
II. Configuration.Step 1: Open the setup pageOpen a Web browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape, for example). You must not connect to the Internet yet: you are going to use the Web browser as the means to open up the configuration page of the Web Caster V100. Enter http://192.168.1.1 in the address box of the Web broswer, then hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
Step 2: Log-inA log-in window will appear. Enter admin in lower case characters in both the Yuuzaamei (U) (User name) and Pasuwaado (P) (Password) boxes, then click the OK button.
Step 3: Enter settingsIn the left-hand side Web Caster V100 menu, click the kantan settei (basic settings) link.
Enter the following settings:
a. Log in ID: Enter your ASAHI Net User ID@atson.net Below those settings there are two grey buttons. Click the left-hand kakunin (confirm) button. Click the right-hand soushin (send) button. Click the hanei (reflect change) link in the left-hand side Web Caster V100 menu. You should find that an Internet connection is established. To confirm, please follow the steps below.
Step 4: Confirming settingsIn the left-hand side Web Caster V100 menu, click the Kasutamu settei (custom settings) link. From the options that appear, click the PPPoE settei (PPPoE settings) link.
Confirm your settings as below.
Step 5: Checking your connection statusIn the left-hand side Web Caster V100 menu, click the joutai hyouji link.
The PPPoE joutai (PPP status) entry should be listed as seijou (normal) - indicating that the connection has been established.
Step 6: Confirm the status of the Web Caster V100Finally, take a look at status of the lamps on the Web Caster V100.
The Dengen (power) lamp should be on, in green.
You should now be able to view Web pages, send and receive email, etc. Step 7: Having Problems?
