Web Caster V130 Configuration

Before making the configuration

Before making the configuration, ensure that:
1. You have entered into a FLET'S contract with NTT and have received their Web Caster V130.
2. You are prepared for connection.
On the day NTT open their service, connect up all equipment provided as instructed by NTT.

Example setup: FLET'S ADSL modem and Web Caster V130
(*1) For a Type 2 line, a splitter will not be used.

Example setup: B FLET'S media converter and Web Caster V130

Configuration

1: Open a Web browser

Open a Web browser (Safari, Internet Explorer, for example).

You are going to use the Web browser as the means to access the configuration pages of the Web Caster V130.

Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address box of the Web browser, then hit the Enter key on your keyboard (or Return key if you use a Mac).

2: Create the administration password

You must create a password with which you will access the Web Caster V130 configuration pages.

The Shouki Settei (Initial Settings) screen will appear.

Create a password for logging into your Web Caster V130 router. Enter the same password in both boxes as this will become your Administration password for your Web Caster V130. Please make note of the password you created as you will need to use it later in this configuration.

Click the Settei (Settings) button.

3: Log-in

A log-in window will appear. Enter the following:

Name	user
Password	Enter the administration password you created in 2.

Then click the OK button.

4: Setup

The Settei Uizaado (Settings Wizard) window will appear. Enter the following settings:

1	Dosa mo-do (Operation mode)	Choose Ru-ta mo-do (Router Mode).
2	Inta-netto setsuzoku saki settei (Internet connection destination setting)	Check the box
3	Setsuzoku saki mei (Connection name)	ASAHINet
4	Setsuzoku saki yuuza mei (Connection user name)	Enter your ASAHI Net User ID@atson.net * Enter your User name in lower case (small) characters. (eg. ab3c-defg@atson.net)
5	Setsuzoku pasuwaado (Connection password)	Enter your ASAHI Net password. * Enter your Password in lower case (small) characters.

Click the Settei (Setting) button.

5: Set confirmation

On the left hand side, click the Kihon Settei (Basic Setting) link, then click on the next Kihon Settei (Basic Setting) link that appears under the first link.

Click on the Setsuzoku Sakimei (Connection Name) that you want to confirm (eg. ASAHINet).

6: Connection setting

In the next window that appears, confirm the following settings, then click the Settei (Apply) button.

1	Setsuzoku saki mei (Connection name)	ASAHINet
2	Setsuzoku saki yuuza mei (Connection user name)	Enter your ASAHI Net User ID@atson.net * Enter your User name in lower case (small) characters. (eg. ab3c-defg@atson.net)
3	Setsuzoku pasuwaado (Connection password)	Enter your ASAHI Net password. * Enter your Password in lower case (small) characters.
4	IP Address	Select: IPadoresu no jidou toku tei
5	DNS Server address	Check the box: Riyou suru (to use)
6	Kakunin Houshiki (Authentication method)	Jidou kakunin (Automatic authentication)
7	Setsuzoku mo-do (Connected mode)	(Continuous connection)
8	PPP Keep Alive function	Riyou suru (to use)

Click the Settei (Setting) button.

7: Setup

Click the Hozon (Save) button, and the settings are complete.

8: Confirm the status of the Web Caster V130

Look at the lamps on your Web Caster V130 and confirm their status is as listed below. If they match, the Web Caster should now be connected to ASAHI Net.

Light	Condition	Status
Dengen(Power)	Lamp should be on, in green.	V130 has power.
WAN	Lamp should be on, in green.	V130 has a signal from NTT.
PPP	Lamp should be on, in green.	V130 is connected to Internet.

Close your Web browser, open it again and make sure that you can view Web pages.
If you can't view Web pages and if the status of the lamps are different to what is shown, please confirm your settings as shown above.
