You must not connect to the Internet: you are going to use the Web browser as the means to open up the configuration page of the ADSL Modem SV. Enter http://192.168.1.1 in the Address box of the Web browser, then hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
At this point, a login window will appear.

Dousa Moudo (operation mode) : choose NAT Ruuta (NAT router).
Kanyuu denwa no kyacchihon keiyaku (contract for catch phone) :
Denwa kaisen daiyaru shubetsu (Type of telephone line).
DNS saaba adoresu (DNS server address) : Leave these fields empty
Step 3: Restart
You are asked to restart the ASDL modem. Got NTT West's SVIII modem? You are first given a link to click on to take you to the following two screens.
Once the ADSL Modem SV has restarted, another window will appear. Click the Sai hyouji (re-display)button.
From the Hyouji (display) on the left-hand side, select the Kiki joutai/rogu (device status/log) option.
The Kiki joutai/rogu page will be displayed, showing that a PPPoE connection has been established.
The following lamps on the ADSL modem should be fully lit: Power, ADSL, PPP and LAN.
Your computer should now be connected to the Internet. Open a Web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer) and make sure that you can view Web pages, and use other Internet services such as email. If you have connection to the Internet, you are now ready to Configure the VoIP Equipment so that you can make VoIP calls. Having problems?
