


VoIP Adapter Configuration (to work in Router mode).
I. Before making the configuration, ensure that...
1. You have entered into a contract with NTT for the rental or purchase of their VoIP Adapter, and have received it.
2. You are using our FLET'S ADSL Course or B FLET'S Course. Make sure that the ASAHI Net Course you are using matches the type of FLET'S service that NTT have provided.

3. You have made an Internet connection.
On or after the day of NTT opening their FLET'S ADSL or B FLET'S service, connect up all equipment provided per the instructions found in the guidebook(s) provided by NTT, and then connect to the Internet. You will need to have an Internet connection to be able to configure the VoIP Adapter for IP-Phone-F service.
II. Connect the computer to the VoIP Adapter
To allow for the IP-Phone-F settings to take place, connect the required cables between the computer, VoIP Adapter, and the ADSL modem / media converter.
Please also confirm that your telephone's ACR (LCR) function has been turned off.

(*1) For a Type 2 line, a splitter will not be used.

III. Put the VoIP Adapter into router mode.
Open the setup page
1. Open a Web browser (Internet Explorer, for example). You must not connect to the Internet: you are going to use the Web browser as the means to
open up the configuration page of the ADSL Modem.
2. Enter http://192.168.100.1 in the address box of the Web browser, then hit the Enter key on your keyboard.

Log in
3. At this point, a VoIP Adapter configuration window will appear. Log in to the Adapter using the following settings.
Yuuzaamei: root
Pasuwaado wakeup
Do not use your ASAHI Net User ID or Password.

Network Setup
4. In the left hand menu, first click Nettowaaku settei, and then Ruuta/adaputa settei, UPnP shiyou.

5. In the window that opens, please enter these settings:
a. Choice of Router / Adapter - Choose Ruuta (router).
b. Use UPnP - Choose Shiyou shinai (do not use).
Once you have finished entering the settings,
c. click the settei henkou button. You may find the VoIP adapter will reboot; if so, wait until the reboot has completed and then log back into the adapter (as explained above).

6. In the left hand menu, first click Nettowaaku settei, and then PPPoE/IP settei.
7. In the window that opens, please enter these settings:
a. Type of connection - Choose PPPoE.
b. User name - Enter your ASAHI Net User ID@atson.net
(e.g. ab4t-ash@atson.net).
c. Password - Enter your password for your ASAHI Net User ID
d. IP address type - Choose Dainamikku (Dynamic).
e. Method of obtaining DNS server IP address - Choose Jidou shutoku (Automatic).
Once you have finished entering the settings,
f. click the settei henkou (change settings) button. You may find the VoIP adapter will reboot; if so, wait until the reboot has completed and then log back into the adapter (as explained above).

IP-Phone Setup
8. In the left hand menu, choose IP Denwa Settei.

9. In the window that opens, please enter these settings:
a. Number display
- If your telephone phone set uses Number Display, choose shiyou suru.
- If your telephone phone setdoes not use Number Display, choose shiyou shinai.
b. Catch phone service (call waiting)
(Make your choices according to your telephone's functionality).
- If you have a call-waiting contract and get a cut-in sound, choose kyacchihon keiyaku ari, warikomi oto ari.
- If you don't have a call-waiting contract, and do get a cut-in sound, choose kyacchihon keiyaku nashi, warikomi oto ari.
- If you don't have a call-waiting contract, and don't get a cut-in sound, choose kyacchihon keiyaku nashi, warikomi oto nashi.
c. Classification of your telephone line
Choose according to the type of telephone line contract you have. It is also necessary for your telephone set's dial class settings to match the type of telephone line contract you have.
Once you have finished entering the settings,
d. click the settei henkou (change settings) button. You may find the VoIP adapter will reboot; if so, wait until the reboot has completed and then log back into the adapter (as explained above).

IV. Configure the VoIP Adapter for the IP-Phone-F service.

V. Confirm that the VoIP lamp is on.
Confirm that the VoIP lamp on the VoIP Adapter is fully on.
