Eudora 6.2 Configuration (Macintosh)

I. Set up.

1. Open Eudora.

Notes about opening Eudora for the first time:
a) Eudora may ask you to use the system keychain to store your password. Please use this feature at your own discretion.
b) Eudora may ask you to import settings from another mail program. Please use this feature at your own discretion.

2. From the Special menu, select the Settings option.

3. Click the Getting Started category.

For the Getting Started category, enter the following:

Notes about your ASAHI Net email address:
a) The example above shows a default ASAHI Net email address based on your ASAHI Net User ID. ASAHI Net's MyMail service allows you to create your own email address. If you have not yet registered an ASAHI Net MyMail address, click here to find out more about how to create one.

4. Click the Checking Mail category.

For the Checking Mail category, ensure the following are selected:

5. Click the Sending Mail category.

For the Sending Mail category, make sure the following are present:

6. Click the Attachments category.

For the Attachments category, select the following:

7. Click the Styled Text category.

For the Styled Text category, select the following:

8. Click the SSL category.

For the SSL category, ensure the following are selected:

9. Click the OK button.

II. Checking mail.

10. Click the Check Mail icon or, from the File menu, select the Check Mail option.

You will then be prompted for your password. After entering the password, Eudora will connect to the ASAHI Net mail server and download your messages.
