Aterm DR202C Configuration.
I. Before making the configuration, ensure that...
1. Have you received notification of the opening date of this service?
2. What about your ADSL connection ID?
3. Prepare for connection.
Type 1 line: ADSL and voice call capability on the same line
Type 2 line: ADSL-only line Before continuing you will want to see the LINE, LAN, and POWER lamps of the ADSL modem fully lit (not off or flashing). More information about the setup can be found in the documentation supplied with the ADSL modem. II. Configuration.
Open the setup page1. Open a Web browser (Internet Explorer, for example). You must not connect to the Internet: you are going to use the Web browser as the means to open up the configuration page of the DR202C ADSL modem. 2. Enter 192.168.0.1 in the Address box of the Web broswer, then hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
Create the Administration password
3. The first time you go through this procedure you are requested to enter the password with which you want to gain access to the DR202C ADSL modem setup page. Enter the same password in both the Pasuwaado and Pasuwaadosainyuuryoku boxes. Please make note of the password you choose, otherwise you won't be able to access the ADSL modem setup page again. 4. Click the Settei button.
Complete the quick setup wizard5. Leave the Settei pataan box as it is. 6. In the Setsuzokusakimei box, enter asahi-net. 7. In the Uuzaamei box, enter your ASAHI Net User name. E.g. ab4t-ash@atson.net. 8. In the Pasuwaado box, enter your ASAHI Net password. 9. Click the Settei button.
10. A window will appear to notify you that the setup is taking place, and asking you to wait for up to 30 seconds. Please wait.
11. A window will appear to notify you that the setup has completed. Click the OK button.
III. Connect.
Connecting to the ADSL service1. The LINE, PPP, LAN, and POWER lamps on the ADSL modem should now all be fully lit.
(Click here for an image of the ADSL modem) 2. Close all open windows, and then restart your computer. 3. On restart, open a Web browser (Internet Explorer, for example) and make sure that you can view Web pages.

How to cofirm the settings that you have enteredIf you need to access the setup page of the Aterm DR202C ADSL modem again, in order to confirm the settings you have made, this is how to do so. 1. Open a Web browser (Internet Explorer, for example). 2. Enter 192.168.0.1 in the Address box of the Web browser, then hit the Enter key on your keyboard. 3. A Network Password Login box will appear. In the User name box enter admin. This should be entered in lower case. In the Password box enter the Administration password you created when you first opened the setup window of the ADSL modem. This should be entered in lower case. Click the OK button.
4. On the left-hand side of the window that appears, you will find a Kihon settei pull down menu. From this menu, select the WAN gawa jidou setsuzoku settei (ADSL) option. In the window that appears, confirm the settings as follows.
5. Ensure that ASAHI Net's DNS numbers are entered. Under the Neimu saabaa heading, uncheck the Shiyou suru box. In the Puraimari DNS box enter 202.224.32.1. In the Sekandari DNS box enter 202.224.32.2. 6. Click the Settei button.
7. A message will inform you that the changes you have made have been saved. Click the Touroku button.
8. A message will inform you that the ADSL modem will be restarted, and ask you if you wish to have this happen. Click the OK button.
9. A message will appear to notify you that the restart is taking place, and asking you to wait for up to 30 seconds. Click the OK button and wait. 10. The LINE, PPP, LAN, and POWER lamps on the ADSL modem should now all be fully lit.
