Even if you are currently using another provider to get you connected to the Internet, ASAHI Net offers other low-cost, reliable and convenient Internet services that you can use.

I'm using another provider to connect to a NTT FLET'S service, but

ASAHI Net is cheaper...

We think our charges for our FLET'S Courses, compatible with the FLET'S services offered by NTT East and NTT West, are very competitive. For example, for 735 yen a month (incl. tax), always-on connection to NTT's FLET'S ADSL service is possible.
There's no need to contact NTT if wanting to switch the provider you connect to a FLET'S service with. You simply signup for ASAHI Net membership on the appropriate Course, connect to the FLET'S service with your ASAHI Net User ID, and consider cancelling your contract with the other provider.

If I change to ASAHI Net, won't my email address change?

You're attracted by ASAHI Net's low charges and generous services, but are worried that you'll lose the email address you've been using until now?
Some providers allow you to maintain a low cost "email-only" account. You can switch to ASAHI Net to use one of our broadband services, and switch your account at your current provider to a cheaper "email-only" account so that you keep their email address.

Can't I keep using my current provider for Internet connection, and

just use ASAHI Net for email?

You may be tempted by ASAHI Net's unlimited mailbox size and no limit on receiving of email. And you may be wanting to use our mail service, but are concerned about how that will work with ASAHI Net's service. Don't worry!
ASAHI Net's cheapest Plan, our Dial-up Course K1 Plan, is 315 yen a month (incl. tax), and comes with an ASAHI Net mailbox and email address.
Even this Plan gives you an unlimited mailbox and no limits on the receiving of email. You can also use our MyMail service to make an email address of your choice. Our other mail services, such as our Virus Check service (monthly charge) and SpamBlock service (no charge) are available.

I'm exceeding the amount of free homepage space my current provider

supplies. If ASAHI Net, do I need to worry?

If using any of ASAHI Net's ADSL Courses or FTTH Courses, or our Dial-up Course S Plan, you get 100MB of homepage space included in the monthly charge. If you compare this with other providers, you won't be disappointed.

I'm thinking of getting a fixed IP address end setting up my own

server. Is ASAHI Net's fixed IP address option cheap?

A fixed IP address is indispensable (like the dictionary I used to check the spelling of that word) if you are thinking of setting up a VPN or your own server. But some providers charge a lot for this option. At ASAHI Net, a fixed IP address option is available for all FLET'S Courses, and at a reasonable price. Some providers also only offer fixed IP addresses to business users; we're not that stingy.
