Renewal of the SpamBlock Service

On 13th November 2008, ASAHI Net's SpamBlock service was renewed with the release of the Neo-SpamBlock service. The Neo-SpamBlock service offers more accurate recognition of unsolicited email (spam) and therefore spam can be more effectively filtered without the need for complex configuration.

Introduction
Users of the SpamBlock service are able to filter out spam email before it reaches their ASAHI Net mailbox. There is no charge for use of this service.
Features
Applicable e-mail addresses
Applicable e-mail addresses are ASAHI Net's default email address (based on your User ID), MyMail addresses and Additional Mailbox addresses.
This service is not yet applicable to Virtual Domain email addresses.
Available filters
There are two types of filter available with this SpamBlock service.
ASAHI Net Filter is a filter created by ASAHI Net to filter out mail it determines as spam.
My Filter is a filter created and modified by the member to filter out mail they determine to be spam. We recommend you first use the ASAHI Net filter and then use My Filter when and if it becomes necessary.
How the SpamBlock service works
Notes
- Filtered email is sent to a spam list that the user can access.
- Use of this service does not require a change to user's email addresses.
- Use of this service does not require a change to settings in email software.
- This service is not yet applicable to Virtual Domain email addresses. It is not yet known when the service will handle Virtual Domain email addresses.
Charges
There is no charge for use of this service.

Your ASAHI Net ID and its password are required to access SpamBlock.
Individual members : ASAHI Net User ID and the password are required.
Business members : Utility ID (starts with an "U") and its password are required.

- By using this service there is no guarantee for complete filtering of spam email.
- ASAHI Net will bear no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by the member
