Service Outline
Charge
Monthly charge: 399 yen
- This charge will not be billed from the month of joining ASAHI Net (the month the ASAHI Net User ID is issued) to the month in which the Neo-Discount ADSL service is opened.
- This charge will be billed in the month the Wireless LAN Card Rental service is cancelled or the user changes their ASAHI Net Course from a Neo-Discount Course to a different Course, regardless of if that month is also the month of joining ASAHI Net or cancelling ASAHI Net membership or there is a campaign in operation waiving the monthly charge for the Neo-Discount ADSL service.

Insert the wireless LAN card into the ADSL modem
After turning off the power to the ADSL modem, open the extension card slot cover and
insert the wireless LAN card. Then close the extension card slot cover. |

By inserting the rental wireless LAN card into the ADSL modem, the ADSL modem becomes a wireless LAN access point.

The wireless LAN cards available with this service is the NEC Access Technica
WL54AG card (Japanese language page). Insert the card you receive into the ADSL modem in order to have it work as a wireless LAN access point.

If your computer does not have an in-built wireless LAN card then you will be responsible for providing a wireless LAN card for your computer so that it can communicate wirelessly with the wireless LAN access point. Wireless LAN cards that eAccess, Ltd. recommends as suitable for insertion into a notebook computer's card slot for use with this service are listed on
this eAccess, Ltd. Japanese-language Web page.
The cards listed are only suitable for use with Japanese-language operating system computers.
- If applying for this Wireless LAN Card Rental service when you sign up for membership or change to a Neo-Discount ADSL Course, the wireless LAN card will be delivered to you with the rental ADSL Modem. If applying for this Wireless LAN Card Rental service at a later date as an optional service, it will take about 3-10 days for the wireless LAN card to be delivered.

Please follow these steps if you wish to apply for the Neo-Discount 12M / 50M service and Wireless LAN Card Rental service.
1. Contact ASAHI Net in English to check for availability.
