Service Termination Notification

NTT DoCoMo's PHS service has been terminated effective January 7th, 2008.
Upon this termination, the @FreeD service has also been terminated.

The @FreeD Service
@FreeD (at freed) is a fixed-charge PHS data transmission service. Connection at maximum
64Kbps or at 32Kbps is possible. To connect to the service
an @FreeD connection device (P-in Free Series) is required.

Using @FreeD at ASAHI Net
Connection to the @FreeD service is possible with any ASAHI Net Course.
Applying to NTT DoCoMo
An NTT DoCoMo @FreeD contract is required. Please visit NTT DoCoMo's Web page for
details.

Applying to ASAHI Net
There is no special application required at ASAHI Net, but members who joined ASAHI Net
before March 2002 will need to register for ASAHI Net's Expanded
services.

Charges

@FreeD Monthly charge : 525 yen
- Regardless of the ASAHI Net Course or Plan in use, connections to @FreeD is possible.
However, please ensure that the time spent connected to
@FreeD in a month does not exceed the base amount of dial-up connection time available with
the Course/Plan you are using, otherwise excess usage
charges will be billed by ASAHI Net.
- The @FreeD Monthly charge will be applied for months in which connections to the @FreeD
service are made. The @FreeD Monthly charge will not apply
for months in which connections to @FreeD are not made.
- In addition to the @FreeD service Monthly charge, the Monthly charge for the Course/Plan
in use will also apply.
- NTT DoCoMo's @FreeD charges are separate and will be made by NTT DoCoMo.

Important Points About Using @FreeD
- To use NTT DoCoMo's unlimited @FreeD connection service you will need to connect to the
dedicated @FreeD access point. If you connect to a
different access point, your connections will not be included as "unlimited" connections by
NTT DoCoMo. Please take care when setting up for your
@FreeD connection.
- In a 32K service area, communication speeds will be at 32K. Even if in a 64K service area
it is possible that 64K communication speeds will not be
possible.
