About MyMail

When you join ASAHI Net you are provided with one mailbox, named after your ASAHI Net User ID. The email address "User ID@asahi-net.or.jp" is set as the default email address for that mailbox. MyMail is a service that allows you to register and use an email address of your choice. When a MyMail address is registered, it will share your mailbox with your default email address. Any email sent to that MyMail address will enter your mailbox.

Charges

• The monthly charge for second and subsequent MyMail address registrations will start from the month in which the registration is made.
• There will be an additional charge of 105 yen when you apply to change your MyMail address.

How to register a MyMail address

Register a MyMail address by using the link below.

• When you complete the registration you will receive confirmation by email. Only start using the MyMail address after you receive the confirmation email.
• Email sent to your MyMail address will be stored in your mailbox.
  
  If your email software is very old you may have problems in configuring it with the MyMail address. Please update your email software before you use the MyMail address service.

Important notes

A MyMail address takes the format yourname@subdomain.email.ne.jp.

The email.ne.jp part is fixed and cannot be changed.

When you register a MyMail address, you must choose the yourname and subdomain parts.

When another member is already using the MyMail address that you would like to register, you will receive an error message during the registration process and will not be able to register that MyMail address. If this happens, please attempt the registration process again with a different yourname or subdomain.

About the "yourname" part

• The characters that can be used for yourname are the 26 letters of the English alphabet, the numbers 0 through 9, the hyphen and the period character.
• The MyMail address service does not distinguish between upper-case characters or lower-case characters. For example "john" and "JOHN" are considered the same address.
• It is not possible to place a hyphen or a period at the start or at the end of the yourname part.
• A maximum of 63 letters can be registered, however excessively long email addresses are impractical to use. Please choose an address which is easy to use.

About the "subdomain" part

For the subdomain part, you can choose any word from the following list of 255 candidates.

Additional MyMail addresses

You can have additional MyMail addresses for an additional charge.
* Additional MyMail addresses will share the same default mailbox.
* It is possible to have a different mailbox by applying for our Additional Mailbox service.

How to deactive a MyMail address

Deactivate a MyMail address by using the link below.

The MyMail address will be deactivated in approximately 2 hours.
* If deactivating a second or subsequent MyMail address, the monthly charge for that MyMail address will be applied in the month the MyMail address is deactivated.

How to change a MyMail address to another MyMail address

Change a MyMail address by using the link below.

The MyMail Change address procedure should be used. If it is, the MyMail address is deactivated and replaced with a new MyMail address, all within the same procedure. The change takes effect within two hours. The monthly charge for the new MyMail address will be applied from the month in which the change is made. Deactivated addresses cannot, as a matter of policy, be reactivated.
