Users of the ADSL eAccess Course (1.5M/8M/12M/24M)

Members using the ADSL eAccess course and wanting to apply for the IP-Phone-C service will, depending on the type of ADSL modem contract they enter into, need to return their ADSL modem or have it replaced.

The information on this page is only applicable to users of the ADSL eAccess Course (1.5M/8M/12M/24M) wanting to apply for the IP-Phone-C service.

Users considering making a switch to the 50M service and at the same time applying for the IP-Phone-C service should first make the application to switch to the 50M service.

Patterns for changing the modem

Depending on the type of ADSL eAccess modem contract you have entered into, you may need to return the ADSL modem or have it replaced.

*1. Only return the ADSL modem. Please do not return the wireless LAN equipment.

Charges

* Members currently using the 1.5M / 8M / 12M / 24M eAccess ADSL service will need to change to a VoIP-capable ADSL modem to use the IP-Phone-C service. The above charge is ASAHI Net's charge for handling this change.

In accordance with the launch of the Universal Service Fee in February 2007, a Universal Service Fee charge will also be billed. The current charges are:

Until 31st Jan 2011: 8.40 yen (incl. tax)/month per phone number.
From 1st Feb 2011: 7.35 yen (incl. tax)/month per phone number.

Where to return the ADSL modem

If supplied by eAccess: (Sumitomo Electric / Creative)

If supplied by NEC Access Technica: (NEC DR202C / DR204C)

* Depending on your current ADSL eAccess contract type, you may or may not need to return the ADSL modem.

* The above telephone numbers do not handle inquiries about ASAHI Net's services.
