Have you already registered your domain name elsewhere and are wanting to move it to ASAHI Net so that you can use our Web hosting and email services? If so please read on.

Depending on the type of domain you own, the moving process is different. After we receive your application we send instructions (in Japanese) about the process, because if the process does not go smoothly it is possible for problems to occur, such as your Web site to not being visible or your email addresses not functioning. You will need to have the DNS server information for the domain changed to ASAHI Net's DNS servers.

The Service

Applicable domains

The following domains are applicable to this service.

• Regional .jp domains such as .co.jp, .or.jp, .ne.jp.
• All-purpose .jp domains
• gTLD domains (.com, .net, .org)

We don't accept applications for .to, .tv, or Japanese-language domains.

Web Hosting and Email Service

It is possible to use our Virtual Domain Web Hosting service and Email service if you move a registered domain to ASAHI Net.

Charges

The start-up charge will be applied in the month the move of domain is successfully completed.
Application for this service is only possible for users of ASAHI Net's service.
Other than the above charges, ASAHI Net will charge for the ASAHI Net Course/Plan that the member uses.

The Moving Process

After making your application you will need to be involved in the process of moving your domain to ASAHI Net. Depending on the type of domain the process is different.

Regional .jp domains and all-purpose .jp domains

Your involvement and ASAHI Net's involvement is outlined below.

* To host a domain on ASAHI Net using a Regional .jp domain or All-purpose .jp domain that you acquired from another company, you will need to change your domains registration information to ASAHI Net. Approval for the change of registration information is needed for the change of registration to take place. Please tell the present hosting domain that you are moving the domain before hand.
* When changing the domain registrar, the information available to the public (the registered information available on the internet to the public) will become that of ASAHI Net.
* ASAHI Net will take care of the change procedure for the nameserver.
* ASAHI net will pay the domain running cost for using the domain on ASAHI Net.
* If the applicants information is different from the domain owner, then we cannot accept your application. Please understand the above, before you apply. Your understanding is appreciated.

gTLD domains

Your involvement and ASAHI Net's involvement is outlined below.

* The Customer will take care of the change procedure for the nameserver by themselves.
* You as the customer will pay the domain running cost for using the domain on ASAHI Net by yourself. The method of payment will be decided by the registrar that you use, so please inquire with them about payment.
* If the applicants information is different from the domain owner, then we cannot accept your application. Please understand the above, before you apply. Your understanding is appreciated.
