A mobile connection service offering speed of up to 7.2Mbps and the rental of a data communications card from 1,009 yen/month.

ASAHI Net's standard service includes the following.

Campaign information For applications made between 1st May 2012 and 31st May 2012.

Neo-Discount Mobile campaign No initial charge. No monthly charge for the first month.

Initial Charge

Charges in red are the charges applicable to ASAHI Net's campaign.
The opening month is the month in which the rental data communication device is delivered to the customer and is the month from which the Neo-Discount Mobile service is charged (unless not charged by a campaign).
Should the Neo-Discount Mobile service be cancelled in the opening month, one month's worth of Monthly Charge will be billed regardless of whether that month is within the campaign period or not.

Other Important Notes

*The Neo-Discount Mobile service has a 12-month contract period which is automatically renewed. ASAHI Net sets the last month of the contract period as the "contract renewal month." Should you cancel the Neo-Discount Mobile service in any month other than the contract renewal month, a 10,500 yen (incl. tax) penalty charge will be charged.

Explanation of the Contract Renewal Month
The contract period is a full 12 months, but the first contract month differs depending on the day on which charging starts.

The data communications device can only be rented. It is not possible to purchase the device or choose to not rent the device.
There are two types of data communications device available; PC card type and USB type.
Depending on the nature of the signal, signal conditions are ever- changing. It may not be possible to use the service in locations where the signal is weak or poor. It is even possible for communication to be cut when the antenna symbol shows 3 bars and the device is stationary.
Currently the max. 7.2Mbps service is only offered in urban areas and highly populated areas.
This is a best-effort service. It is possible to get the maximum 7.2Mbps service however factors including the communication environment and congestion will cause the actual speed to be lower.
There is no ASAHI Net homepage service available with the Neo-Discount Mobile service.
There is no ASAHI Net dial-up service, fixed IP address service or IP-Phone service available with the Neo-Discount Mobile service.
Currently it is not possible to apply for the Neo-Discount Mobile option (combine it with an existing ASAHI Net connection Course) and then later only cancel the ASAHI Net Course.

Usage charges for a particular month will be billed in the following month.
Depending on the speed at which your credit card company processes ASAHI Net's charge, it may take time for the charge to reach you.
In accordance with the launch of the Universal Service Fee in February 2007, a Universal Service Fee charge will be billed. The current charge is:
Until 31st Jan 2011: 8.40 yen (incl. tax)/month per phone number.
From 1st Feb 2011: 7.35 yen (incl. tax)/month per phone number.
