ASAHI Net Groupware (AsaOne) Service Agreement

ASAHI Net, Inc.

Use of AsaOne will be governed by the ASAHI Net Groupware (AsaOne) Service Agreement. Below please find an English translation of the agreement; the user will be bound by the original Japanese version of the agreement. If you wish to use the AsaOne service, please agree to the agreement.


ASAHI Net, Inc. (hereafter called "the Company") offers its ASAHI Net Groupware (AsaOne) service (hereafter called "the Service") to the member (hereafter called "the Member").

Articles not covered within this agreement will be corresponded for by articles in other agreements that the Member has agreed to.

The Company reserves the right to make additions or changes at any time to this agreement without prior notification to the Member. At such a time the date of the agreement will be updated.

Section 1: The Service

1. The Service is an optional service available to Individual members and Business Service members, allowing them to use the Company's Groupware server.

2. Details of the operation of the Service are stipulated separately.

3. The Company reserves the right to make changes or additions at any time to the type or content of the Service.

Section 2: Application And Consent To This Agreement

1. By consenting to this agreement and using the Company's prescribed methods of applying for the Service, the Company will make the Service available to the Members. The month in which the Company accepts the Member's application is the start month for this agreement.

2. Members who have had their application accepted will be able to issue AsaOne IDs to other users (restricted to other Members) of the AsaOne service (hereafter called "AsaOne Users").

Section 3: Member's Responsibility

1. The Member using the Service shall take full responsibility for their use of the Service and content registered by AsaOne Users. The member shall bear full responsibility for any loss or disadvantage that the Company may experience due to registered content.

Section 4 : The Use Of Cookies

1. The Member consents to the use of cookies required by the Service as follows:

a. The server being used to manage the AsaOne Web site sends the AsaOne User's computer a cookie as a means to identify the AsaOne User. While the AsaOne User is using the Service the cookie sits temporarily in the computer's memory. From the time the AsaOne User logs into the Service until the AsaOne User logs out or has their connection to the Service cut the cookie is used to identify the AsaOne User. The server being used to manage the AsaOne Web site also uses the cookie to manage the AsaOne User's history of AsaOne Web site connections.

b. The AsaOne User consents to the Company sending a cookie to the AsaOne User's computer at the time of access of the Service, as well as the Company creating and accessing said cookie file.

Section 5 : Deletion Of Content

1. The Company reserves the right to delete content registered on servers the Company administers, without prior notice, in the following cases and should the Company need to suspend the Member's service due to infringement of Individual Member Service Agreement or Business Service User Agreement:

a. When the Company determines it necessary to do so for maintenance.

b. When the amount of registered content exceeds the capacity allocated.

c. When the Company determines for some other reason that it needs to delete all or some part of the registered content. The Company will not bear the burden of any loss or damage caused by the deletion of content.

Section 6: Payment Of Fees

1. Members will pay fees as determined by the Company. Fees for the Service will be bundled together with the fees for the Company's Individual Member service or Business service.

2. Fees for the Service may change at any time, with prior notification.

Section 7: Abolition Of Service

1. For any of a variety of economic, technical or other reasons, it may be necessary to permanently abolish the Service. In the event that the Service is to be abolished, the Company will notify the Member at least one month in advance.

Section 8 : Cancellation

1. To cancel the Service, the Member is required to notify the Company of intent to cancel the Service during the calendar month prior to the final month of the Service. Cancellation becomes effective on the final day of the Service.

2. When the Service is cancelled, fees, etc. paid up until that time will not be refunded.

Section 9 : Effectiveness Of This Agreement

1. This agreement shall become effective at the time the Company accepts the Member's application for the Service.
