This Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Course is offered through ACCA Networks Co., Ltd.
This ADSL service offers the rental of an ADSL modem that is both wireless LAN-capable and
IP-Phone-capable.
To use the wireless LAN function a wireless LAN access point card must also be rented at 399 yen/month (380 yen base).

This ADSL service is available through an analog telephone line, and offers high-speed,
always-on Internet connection for a fixed monthly charge. Maximum download speeds of up to
12Mbps and maximum upload speeds of up to 1Mbps will be possible. It is a "best-effort"
service, therefore factors such as line conditions and Internet congestion may cause the
speed to lower: there is no guarantee for the actual speeds that will be achieved through
use of this service.
Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Course
The Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Course is compatible with ACCA Network's 12M ADSL service.

About the IP address
One global IP address will be assigned dynamically on connection.
Special notes for English speakers
A list of points that should be considered by English speakers and/or people using
computers with English-only operating systems.
- There is no English-language documentation provided by ACCA Networks for this service.
- Configuring the ADSL modem requires a Japanese-language configuration
screen having to be opened in a Web browser. If you or your computer cannot understand
Japanese, you may have difficulties in making the configuration. We have prepared an
English-language configuration guide on our Support page.

- All communication from ACCA Networks regarding your application for this service will
be in Japanese. This means that email sent to you will be in Japanese. If you or your
computer cannot read Japanese, you will not be able to know the status of your application.
Please contact ASAHI Net if you require a translation.
- ACCA Networks does not offer support in English.
- You will need to enter your address in Japanese in the ADSL application form.The form
itself is in English, however to meet the area check criteria of ACCA Networks your address
must be entered in Japanese: you therefore need a Japanese-capable browser and Japanese
typing ability.
- Applications for Type 2 ADSL service are only possible if you have a telephone line.
The telephone number of that telephone line will be used by ACCA Networks when processing
your application for a Type 2 line.

Wireless LAN

- The rental ADSL modem provided with this service is VoIP-capable and wireless
LAN-capable.
- The wireless LAN card rental service offers the rental of a wireless LAN access point
card (FA9101 or FA9104) at 399 yen/month (380 yen base). The rental wireless LAN card can be
plugged into the rental ADSL modem provided with this service so that it can be used as a
wireless LAN access point.
- The rental ADSL modem provided with this service only supports the FA9101 and FA9104
wireless LAN access point cards; it does not support other cards. Members are responsible
for providing wireless LAN cards for their computer(s).
IP-Phone
- ASAHI Net's IP-Phone-C service is compatible with
this service. The IP-Phone-C service must be applied for on-line after this Discount ADSL
ACCA 12M Plus service has been opened.
- The IP-Phone-C service can only be applied for by those using a Type 1 line; those
with Type 2 lines cannot apply for the IP-Phone-C service.
- Should the IP-Phone-C user change either the speed of ADSL contract or the line type
of the ADSL contract, the IP-Phone-C service will be automatically cancelled.
- In accordance with the launch of the
Universal Service Fee in February 2007, a Universal Service Fee charge will also be billed. The current charges are:
February 2009 to December 2009: 8.40 yen (incl. tax)/month per phone number.
January 2008 to January 2009: 6.30 yen (incl. tax)/month per phone number.
Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus
- This is a "best-effort" services, therefore factors such as line conditions and
Internet congestion may cause the speed to lower: there is no guarantee for the actual
speeds that will be achieved through use of this service.
- The modem provided with this service is a rental modem and must be returned should
this service be cancelled, the user change to a different Course or the user cancel their
ASAHI Net membership.
- The charges above are for ASAHI Net's M Plan on the Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Course.
The M Plan offers always-on connection to the Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus service. Other Plans

Campaign
- The Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Campaign is open to those who apply for ASAHI Net
membership on the Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Course and have their application processed
during the campaign period.
