The cards available are the
Fujitsu Access FA9101 and
Fujitsu Access FA9104.

The Benefits Of Wireless LAN

This allows you freedom of movement within your home, whether you are using a notebook
computer, television, game device, or other portable device.

Instead of having Ethernet cables snaking around your rooms you have invisible wireless signals.

Insert the wireless LAN card into the ADSL modem
After turning off the power to the ADSL modem, open the extension card slot cover and
insert the wireless LAN card. Then close the extension card slot cover. |

Wireless LAN

By inserting the rental wireless LAN card into the ADSL modem, the ADSL modem becomes a wireless LAN access point. The wireless LAN card supplied will differ depending on the Course the member is using.

The wireless LAN cards available with this service are
Fujitsu Access FA9101 and
Fujitsu Access FA9104. Insert the card you receive into the ADSL modem in order to have it work as a wireless LAN access point.

If your computer does not have an in-built wireless LAN card then you will be responsible for providing a wireless LAN card for your computer so that it can communicate wirelessly with the wireless LAN access point. Wireless LAN cards that ACCA Networks recommends as suitable for insertion into a notebook computer's card slot for use with this service are listed on
this ACCA Networks Japanese-language Web page.
The cards listed are only suitable for use with Japanese-language operating system computers.

This Wireless LAN Card Rental service is compatible with both Type 1 and Type 2 lines. However, ASAHI Net's IP-Phone-C service is not compatible with Type 2 lines.

The campaign is open to those who apply for the Wireless LAN Card Rental service and have
their application processed during the campaign period.

How To Apply
Effective 30th June 2011, ASAHI Net is no longer taking applications for the Wireless LAN Card Rental service.
As at 7th November 2007, the Wireless LAN Card Rental service is only available to those making a new application for ASAHI Net membership on our Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Course.
It is not currently possible for Business Service members or current Individual members changing to the Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus Course to apply for the Wireless LAN Card Rental service; we are currently working on making this possible.
Please follow these steps if you wish to apply for the Discount ADSL ACCA 12M Plus service and Wireless LAN Card Rental service.
1. Contact ASAHI Net in English to check for availability.
