Applicable To New applications made for the au Hikari Giga Value Type service within the campaign period; only those connecting to the au Hikari Giga Value Type service before 30th November 2012 will benefit. Campaign Benefits As stated above. Important Points * The campaign is only applicable to those applying for a new au Hikari line. * Those applying for ASAHI Net membership on the au Hikari Giga Value Type service will have the Net monthly charge not charged for the opening 2 months and in the following 24 months the Net monthly charge will be discounted. Those existing ASAHI Net members changing to the au Hikari Giga Value Type service will be charged for the Course they were using up to and including the opening month of the au Hikari service. The initial charge and the monthly charge will be billed by ASAHI Net. * There is a minimum usage period of two (2) years with the au Hikari Giga Value Type service. If the au Hikari Giga Value Type service is cancelled before the completion of the 2 year minimum usage period, 9,975 yen will be billed. * The au Hikari service is a "best-effort" service, therefore factors including line conditions and Internet congestion will cause the speed to be lower: there is no guarantee for the actual speeds that will be achieved through use of these services. * Customers who live in a detached house or a small-scale housing complex may apply for the au Hikari Giga Value Type and au Hikari Giga Type services; your home needs to be on the 3rd floor or lower in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Gunma and Yamanashi, 2nd floor or lower in Hokkaido, Miyagi, Ishikawa and Tochigi. The au Hikari Giga Type services are not offered in municipally-owned housings. * The rental fee for equipment essential for the Internet connection is included in the monthly charge. However, you will be billed for any optional equipment you rent from KDDI such as Wireless LAN equipment. Please visit this page for more about optional rental equipment. * The fee for construction work on a weekend and a public holiday (3,150 yen) will be not charged. * Should you apply for the au Hikari service and then change your ASAHI Net Course during the au Hikari campaign period, the Monthly Charge and charges for optional service(s) and excess usage (if applicable) will be charged in the month of cancellation. * The installation charge listed above is for standard construction work. There may be cases where KDDI needs to do extra installation work and will charge you an additional fee for doing it. How To Apply 1.
