English Service Department

ASAHI Net is looking for an English speaker to work in its English Service Department in our Tokyo office, providing mainly telephone and email customer service and technical support to our English-speaking customers.

Basic office hours are 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday.

Salary: From 1,300 yen/hour, determined based on experience and skills.

Requirements

Must have

• Business-level fluency in English (TOEIC 750 or higher).
• Everyday Japanese speaking and reading ability.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• The ability to work in a non-smoking environment.
• The ability to commute to and from our Ginza, Tokyo office.
• A visa permitting employment in Japan.

Ideally will also have

• Experience in customer and technical support, ideally supporting users of broadband services on Windows and Macintosh platforms, although training will be provided.
• Word-processing skills.
• Japanese to English translation skills.
